Three new free dance programmes, including Seated Dance and Creative Dance for Adults with Disabilities, have been launched by artsNK.
This month, artsNK will host a Boys Dance Day at The Venue in Navenby. Taking place on Sunday, September 13, the session will be led by hip-hop dance specialist Gareth Woodward and performer B-Boy Ai Nugent.

The event is for boys aged 10-19 years old and is free but booking is essential. Book online at nccd.org.uk/events/boys-dance-day or call 01529 308710.
Supported by Active Lincolnshire’s Tackling Inequalities fund, the creative collective has also launched a series of video dance programmes.

The Seated Dance series is suitable for older adults and/or people with restricted mobility or limited space at home. They can be carried out as group activities in care home communal areas or by individuals at home.
There will be six sessions lasting around 30 minutes each, accessible online or on DVD by request.
The third new dance programme launching this month is the free Creative Dance for Adults with Disabilities series.
The four weekly creative dance sessions will champion physical activity, creativity, social inclusion, friendship, and teamwork within a safe and supportive environment.
These sessions are designed to work well both in a group at a centre’s communal area or at home.

Emma Bouch, Dance Development Officer at artsNK, said: “The programme is a series of video creative dance sessions focusing on building confidence in dance by experimenting with making movement.
“Classes will involve a variety of activities both led by the facilitator and through individual creative opportunities for participants.”
