This simple tip will make you feel good in the short term and could even lead you to do good in the long term.
Whatever your exercise experience, fitness or mobility, the benefits of taking a break and heading outside are plentiful. It can boost your mood, lift your energy, burn calories and strength your heart, to name but a few.
Whether you go out for a minute or end up on an hour-long adventure, you’ve made things a bit better.

A chance to make things better for others too comes with the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk, held on Sunday, September 20.
The annual event usually sees organised events all over the country as people walk together to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. With the current situation, the large events won’t be held this year but you can still walk – and raise money for charity.
The journey you take as today’s #hwlifts could be the start of training for a Memory Walk.
Actor Vicky McLure (Line of Duty / This Is England) has been involved with Memory Walk for almost a decade and this year will still take part, but with family. Vicky says: “A slightly different Memory Walk this year but shared with my two favourite boys, my nephews, who between them have been to every walk with me over the years!”
Musician and producer Naughty Boy has added his support this year after his mother was diagnosed with the condition. “Dementia is something that is very personal to me and so I want to do everything I can to help raise awareness of this heart-breaking condition,” he says.
“’Since mum’s diagnosis, it’s been a huge learning curve for me to be able to understand her condition and how it affects her.”
To organise a walk, sponsorship and find out more, visit the Memory Walk website (when you get back, of course).
